What is an Air Handler?
An air handler is the component of a heating and cooling system which circulates air throughout your Lexington home or business. The air handler receives conditioned air produced by the heating and cooling units (depending on the time of year) and sends this air through the duct system into indoor living areas. The air handler houses critical system components such as the fan, furnace filter rack, and evaporator coils.
For maximum efficiency, it is important that air handling units are sized appropriately for the systems they will work with. Inefficient air handlers will be a burden to your heating and cooling systems, causing them to use excess energy when in operation.
